Zero Tolerance

We support the government’s NHS zero tolerance campaign. GPs and their staff have the right to care for others without fear of being assaulted or abused. Therefore, in order to protect both our staff and other patients, we respectfully point out that the following inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated-swearing, threatening or abusive behaviour, drunkenness, verbal/physical abuse.

Such behaviour has a marked effect on the staff and other patients and therefore where such behaviour is observed, we reserve the right to withdraw from treating the patient and ensuring removal of those involved from the premises.

If an occasion arises where it is necessary to call the police, you will be given a formal warning. If such an instance occurs again you will be placed on the violent patients register and asked to receive primary healthcare elsewhere.
